A playing cards Magic marked by 225 years of creation!

The desire to exercise real magic powers is a wish as old as humanity itself. One of the best known stories about this fantasy is “Der Zauberlehrling“, better known asThe Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and initially published in 1797, the story resists the test of time.

Exactly 225 years later,Penguin Magic is proud to present this tribute to the original poem, transformed into a superb playing cards to play.Designed by Douglas Fuchs and directed by Kevin Reylek, the whole game is illustrated in a style of wood engraving.

The blue and white back presents the sorcerer’s spell book, the enchanted brooms and of course the waves of endless water. The design also contains amarking systemOpen reading that allows you to secretly learn the color and value of a card, just looking at your back!

Personalized faces give the gameA unique style, while agreeing to all possible uses.

Some of the figures even make small magic exploits themselves. The jokers present a broom and a bucket of water. Hearts & tiles have a shade of dark red, while spikes & trigles have a dark blue with light blue reflections.

The case presents the sorcerer himself on the front, throwing a spell on the entire package. The box is made from superior matt blue paper, with interior and exterior patterns in white leaf. The packaging is surmounted by aSingle seal in silver sheet numbered individually.
